Do you HATE cleaning your wheels , spending hours to make them shine only to drive around the block and have vast amounts of brake dust derail your efforts???
For years we sprayed acids on wheels to clean the brake dust and road debris from the wheel surface to get a better clean . We used harsh brushes and shop rags that would mar the surface and we put up with the tiny scratches on our wheels because we wanted a CLEAN WHEEL! The wheels would shine but the acids were harsh and many times 'etched' a hot wheel or if the acid was not removed in a timely fashion...the finish would be ruined.
Today we have $100,000 cars and $10,000 wheels. It is simply a roll of the dice to use harsh chemicals or harsh brushes on your expensive wheels to get them clean. Add to the fact that many brake systems are built for performance and the manufacturers dont realy worry about driving a car with clean wheels.
But NOW.... We have ceramic based coatings that will bond to the wheel and allow you to drive your car cleaner for a longer period of time. The coatings will also decrease your effort and drastically reducing the time it takes to clean a wheel!
Without going into complex industry communication. The solids in the coating combine to form an incredible bond to the surface of the wheel that will not be affected by temperature or harsh chemicals. The bond is complex and semi permanent. The coating is outstanding and gives superior stain and contaminant resistance.
Our process is very tedious and we have to charge accordingly for our time and expertise. Many times we remove the wheel and degrease the inside and the outside of the wheel. We then apply a chemical that pulls out all the deep contaminants from the brake pads . The wheel is now ready to have a pre cleaner applied and then the coating is applied in 2 separate applications. We feel 2 coats is adequate and will last many of our clients 2-4 years depending on the way they use the car, how they clean the wheels, and what chemicals they use to clean the wheels.
