HOUSTON — After being recognized as the first “Detailer of the Year” by the Attention to Details professional detailing program, Michael Pena was named as one of the exclusive detailers for the Houston leg of the 2012 Porsche World Roadshow, according to a press release.
The Nov. 14 release stated that Pena, who owns Mobile Auto Detail, flew into Houston 2 additional professional detailers to maintain Porsche’s automotive line at the Texas stop of the 13-city U.S. tour. According to the release, the tour was “An international driving event designed to give Porsche enthusiasts and potential customers the unique opportunity to drive a large sampling of Porsche models for one day in a variety of challenging exercises that demonstrate the vehicles’ race-bred ability.”
The fleet of vehicles consisted of 911, Panamera, Boxster S and Cayenne models. The team maintained the fleet throughout the driving and racing event.
Porsche VIPs even visited from Germany and commented on how good the cars looked. Porsche was so happy with the results that they plan to invite Pena to more automotive events in Texas for 2013.
“I received a late call the night before the event. The caller stated that the main water pipe at the track had been shut off to fix a leak. That the water faucets at the track were not able to be used due to the main valve being closed. I had my team from Vegas and Dallas in place, and I knew we could handle anything that was thrown at us. We transported 300 gallons of water to the track and began our task,” Pena said in the release. “I am just so proud of my ‘Detail Mafia’ associates! I could not have done it without my team working hard and delivering the best shine!”
