So I wanted to wrap my ALIENWARE M17x R2 laptop to protect it from daily wear and tear. I searched the web and travelled to the Galleria mall and other malls inquiring about something to wrap it in. Obviously , I could have used the automotive clear bra from XPEL . But I didn't just want a clear covering. I wanted something that 'stood out' more! I chose XPEL's Carbon Fiber Vinyl to wrap my laptop in. The ideal situation would have me download a kit and then apply the pieces to my computer. There is another option ...logging into the 'dealer program on XPEL's website and plugging in the dimensions of my laptop; basically creating my own kit. Not being one to travel the 'easy' route ...I chose to customize each piece myself and trim each piece by hand --- as opposed to a vinyl cutting machine. I wanted the kit to flow seamless and just felt that by laying down each piece and cutting to my specs that this would be a better end result.
